Javier Romojaro Pérez is an Industrial Design Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and holds an MSc in Industrial Ecology from Leiden University and TU Delft, where he specialized in developing and implementing closed-loop ecosystems in industrial settings.
As a project manager in the R&D department at Recyclia, he brings extensive experience in the reverse logistics of e-waste and EV batteries (including collection, reuse, and recycling), which he applies in innovative projects funded by Horizon Europe and national Spanish programs.
In the context of the energy transition, it is worth highlighting the department’s contribution to CIRCULAR TWAIN, a project developing a novel AI platform for circular manufacturing value chains. This platform will enable the creation of interoperable circular twins to ensure end-to-end sustainability, with applications in automotive battery systems and beyond.
Other notable projects include FREE4LIB, BATRAW, and REBELION, all focused on advancing circularity in the mobility sector. Javier’s systemic thinking approach complements the work of more technically focused partners, and fosters collaboration and synergies across diverse supply chain actors.
